DeWeese announces Senior Fair 2008

HARRISBURG, Sept. 17 – Older residents living in the 50^th Legislative District of Greene, Fayette and Washington counties are invited to join state Rep. Bill DeWeese for his 12^th annual Senior Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 3 at the Greene County Fairgrounds.

The free event, jointly sponsored by the Southwestern Pennsylvania Area Agency on Aging and Greene County Board of Commissioners, includes helpful information from local, state and federal agencies, health screenings, door prizes and light refreshments.

"This is a one-stop opportunity to learn about a variety of programs, including those that help with paying taxes, transportation, health care, home heating costs and many more," said DeWeese, D-Greene/Fayette/Washington.

DeWeese said no registration is required but attendees should bring any relevant insurance information for the health screenings.
