DeWeese responds to proposed TrAIL agreement

HARRISBURG, Sept. 22 – House Majority Leader Bill DeWeese today issued the following statement regarding the announcement between the Greene County Commissioners and Allegheny Energy.

"My staff and I are reviewing the agreement announced today. On first read, we are cautiously optimistic that the agreement will address the concerns of so many of constituents who spoke with a strong voice, and whom I joined, in opposing the entire TrAIL project. It’s important to keep in mind that the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission still must sign off on the deal before it is effective," said DeWeese, D-Greene/Fayette/Washington.
