Kula’s office will be Toys for Tots drop-off point
HARRISBURG, Nov. 22 – State Rep. Deberah Kula has announced that her Dunbar Township office will be a drop-off point for this year’s Toys for Tots program.
This will be the fifth year her office will be a part of the annual program, which provides Christmas presents to needy children, both locally and nationwide.
To participate, Kula is asking residents to drop off new, unwrapped toys between 9 a.m. and noon, and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday in her office, 1251 University Drive, Dunbar. The deadline for toy drop-offs is Dec.15.
Toys collected will be distributed locally to needy families to brighten their holiday season.
“I am happy to be able to continue to offer my office as a location for this great program. Their goal is to deliver, through a shiny new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to needy youngsters that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders. I stand behind these goals and hope you will support them as well,” Kula said.
Kula’s office can also provide information on CHIP, the state-run health insurance program for children, and LIHEAP, the low-income heating assistance program.
