State grant awarded to Armstrong County
HARRISBURG, June 15 – State Rep. Joseph Petrarca, D-Westmoreland/Armstrong, announced today that Armstrong County will receive a grant of $15,232 from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
Petrarca said the funds will be used to reimburse 50 percent of the county recycling coordinator’s salary and expenses.
"This grant will greatly influence and better the already great recycling program we have in Armstrong County," Petrarca said. "Everybody can do their part to help improve the environment, and recycling is one of those ways."
The grant was awarded to Armstrong County under the County Recycling Coordinator Grant Program of 1988.
