Petrarca: $3,216 sewage grant awarded to Allegheny Township

 

HARRISBURG, Sept. 26 – State Rep. Joe Petrarca, D-Westmoreland/Armstrong, announced that Allegheny Township in Westmoreland County has been awarded a $3,216 sewage enforcement grant through the state Department of Environmental Protection.  

 

The grant was awarded under the Sewage Facilities Enforcement Grant program and represents a 50 percent reimbursement by the state for municipalities' costs to enforce the state's sewage laws, which require proper planning, inspection and permitting of sewage facilities and on-lot disposal systems.
