Latrobe to receive more than $18,000 grant
HARRISBURG, Dec. 15 - State Rep. Joe Petrarca, D-Westmoreland/Armstrong, announced that the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources will award an $18,900 grant to Latrobe Unity Parks and Recreation Commission.
The funding, which will be provided under DCNR's Community Conservation Partnerships Program, will be used toward upgrades at Legion Keener Park.
"Legion Keener Park provides a fun and safe recreational area for local families," Petrarca said. "This funding will allow the Unity Parks and Recreation Commission to make the park more accessible and enjoyable for all residents."
The Community Conservation Partnerships Program combines several funding sources into one grant program available to local governments, municipal authorities, and nonprofit organizations for community and regional recreation and conservation projects.
