Happy Independence Day

Dear Friend:

As you prepare to celebrate the birth of our great nation, please allow me to take a moment to wish you and your family and friends the very best. 

I had hoped to see many of you at various Fourth of July parades and picnics tomorrow. However, I will be in the state Capitol throughout this holiday weekend continuing to work on the state budget and other important legislative matters. I will keep fighting for more funding for our schools, economic development in our region, government reform and a comprehensive energy independence strategy. 

While I wish I was home celebrating the Fourth of July with you and my family, I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity to represent you in this great Commonwealth in furtherance of the democracy envisioned by the founding fathers and mothers of our nation.
