Bradford kicks off food drive for local pantries

NORRISTOWN, July 12 – State Rep. Matt Bradford, D-Montgomery, said today that his constituent service offices are now accepting food donations to benefit local food pantries.

Bradford said food banks often run low in the summer, when not as many food drives are being held. However, there is still significant need for donated food in the summer, especially when students are out of school.

"I hope this food drive will benefit Montgomery County families who rely on help from food pantries to help get them through difficult times," Bradford said.

This is Bradford's second food drive. His office collected items for local food banks during the holidays, also a time when demand is high and food donations are low.

Bradford said donations may be dropped off at his Norristown office, 1846 Markley St., or Worcester office, 2000 Bustard Road – Suite 6 (Skippack Pike and Bustard Road), weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
