Bradford to host hearing on alternative energy
WORCESTER, July 19 – State Rep. Matt Bradford, D-Montgomery, is inviting residents to an upcoming House Majority Policy Committee public hearing he's co-chairing in Worcester to discuss alternative energy issues.
The hearing will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 28 at Allan Myers Inc., Auditorium, Walnut Grove Farms. The address is 1805 Berks Road, Worcester.
The hearing will examine policies to create green jobs, break dependence on foreign oil and reduce the carbon footprint.
Bradford will co-chair the hearing with committee Chairman Mike Sturla, D-Lancaster. Those testifying include John Hanger, secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection; Jan Jarrett, president of PennFuture; David Masur, executive director of PennEnvironment; Reiner Jaeckle, founder and chief operations officer of Metro-Tek Electrical Services; Rob Colucci, senior director of energy and sustainability, Merck & Co.; Maureen Mulligan, representative for Solar Alliance & Mid-Atlantic Solar Energy Industries Association/PA Division; and Eric Thumma, senior REC originator of Iberdrola Renewables.
