Burns announces $70,508 grant for Upper Yoder Township
HARRISBURG, Feb. 12 – State Rep. Frank Burns, D-Cambria/Somerset, said Upper Yoder Township in Cambria County will receive a $70,508 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
Upper Yoder will use the grant for its yard waste program.
DEP's Recycling Development and Implementation Grant Program funds incentive-based programs, alternative-fuel vehicles, multi-government projects and new fiber collection/processing programs.
"DEP continues to make investments in our region," Burns said. "This funding will assist Upper Yoder in finding innovative ways to recycle its waste."
