Yewcic to introduce bill to ban partial birth abortions
Legislation would coincide with federal ban
HARRISBURG, April 18 – State Rep. Tom Yewcic, D-Cambria/Somerset, will soon introduce legislation to ban partial birth abortions in Pennsylvania.
The Supreme Court voted 5-4 this week to uphold the federal 2003 Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act.
“This procedure is gruesome and inhumane, and it should never have been allowed in the first place,” Yewcic said.
