Cambria County recycling program to receive $32,000
PATTON, Feb. 11 – State Rep. Gary Haluska, D-Cambria, announced today that the Cambria County Solid Waste Authority has been awarded a state grant for its recycling program.
The authority will receive $32,011 as reimbursement for half of the county recycling coordinator's salary and expenses.
The grant was provided through the County Recycling Coordinator Grant Program, an incentive started in 1988 to encourage more recycling in communities across the state. Grants help reimburse community recycling efforts, promoting job creation and economic growth.
