Cambria County receiving nearly $5.5 million for property tax relief
PATTON, May 2 – State Rep. Gary Haluska, D-Cambria, announced today that Cambria County is set to receive nearly $5.5 million this summer for property tax relief.
The state's Property Tax Relief Fund has reached $613 million from gaming revenues, making it possible to provide school property tax relief to more than 3 million homeowners this year.
Haluska said homeowners in the county will receive an estimated $149 in relief on their school property taxes, while homeowners in Haluska's legislative district will receive an estimated $175.
The six school districts in Haluska's district, which includes Cambria County and part of Clearfield County, will receive $2.7 million in all. The following figures are estimates of school property tax relief for those school districts this summer:
