Hanna announces more than $540,000 in DEP recycling grants
for Centre, Clinton counties
HARRISBURG, Feb. 12 – State Rep. Mike Hanna, D-Clinton/Centre, announced today that the state Department of Environmental Protection has awarded more than $540,000 in recycling grants to Centre and Clinton counties.
Hanna, chairman of the House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, said the grant funds are distributed as follows:
· $347,360 to the Centre County Solid Waste Authority for its curbside recycling program and recycling center;
· $199,913 to Clinton County for its recycling center.
The grants are awarded under the Recycling Development and Implementation Grant Program administered by DEP.
