Clinton County to receive $8,698 DEP grant

HARRISBURG, June 11 – State Rep. Mike Hanna, D-Clinton/Centre, announced that the Clinton County Solid Waste Authority will receive $8,698 in grant funding from the state Department of Environmental Protection.

The grant, made available through DEP's County Planning Grant Program, will be used to reimburse up to 80 percent of costs for the county to conduct a sustainability study to learn if any improvements are needed to its solid waste infrastructure.

"It is important for local governments to have the resources to properly manage trash and other solid waste in order to protect the environment and public health," Hanna said. "This grant will help the county assess what improvements are needed at the authority."
