Hanna announces $24,806 in grants to fund historical organizations
HARRISBURG, Aug. 13 – State Rep. Mike Hanna, D-Clinton/Centre, announced that several local organizations have received grants totaling $24,806 from the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
The following were awarded grants: · Clinton County Commissioners GIS Department -- $5,000
· Clinton County Historical Society -- $13,516
· Piper Aviation Museum Foundation -- $6,290
"The funding made available will support a wide and diverse variety of projects to preserve and sustain the heritage of our Commonwealth," Hanna said. "Historical organizations provide a look into the past that allows people of all ages to learn about our state's history." The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission is responsible for assisting nonprofit organizations and local organizations with the collection, conservation and interpretation of Pennsylvania's historic heritage.
