Lock Haven awarded $12,960 recycling grant
HARRISBURG, Sept. 29 – State Rep. Mike Hanna, D-Clinton/Centre, announced that Lock Haven was recently awarded a $12,960 recycling performance grant through the state Department of Environmental Protection.
The funds were awarded based on the 808 tons of material recycled in Lock Haven in 2006 and the city's population.
The Recycling Performance Grant Program provides incentives designed to increase the amount of materials recovered through recycling statewide and to promote economic growth by creating jobs and businesses in the recycling and reuse industry.
