Centre County business receives environmental grant
STATE COLLEGE, April 12 – State Rep. Scott Conklin, D-Centre, announced today that Matson and Associates, a local environmental engineering business, will be awarded a $167,600 grant by the state Department of Environmental Protection.
Conklin said the funding will be awarded through the Alternative Fuels Incentive Grant Program that is designed to create new markets for biofuels throughout Pennsylvania.
"This funding will help advance the company's ongoing projects dealing with biodiesel and ethanol," Conklin said. "Development and research funding is crucial to advancing our renewable energy use."
