Hanna announces $10,418 in grants for local arts organizations

 

HARRISBURG, Aug. 12 – State Rep. Mike Hanna, D-Clinton/Centre, announced that the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts has awarded $10,418 in grants to local arts organizations and arts programs.  
 
The Bellefonte Historical and Cultural Association is receiving $1,837; the Clinton County Arts Council, $1,993; and the Millbrook Playhouse, $6,588. 
 
"This funding helps community organizations continue their work in letting people of all ages experience and enjoy the arts," Hanna said. "Arts programs provide cultural diversity and encourage everyone to experience something new."

 

The mission of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts is to foster excellence, diversity and vitality in the arts in Pennsylvania, and to broaden access to and appreciation for the arts among state residents.
