Centre County association to receive more than $200K DEP grant
HARRISBURG, Aug. 15 – Centre County state Rep. Scott Conklin today announced that Pennsylvania Rural Water Association, Bellefonte, will receive a $227,860 grant from the state Department of Environmental Protection.
Conklin said the grant will be used to provide technical assistance and training to a minimum of 15 community water systems currently involved with the development and/or implementation of a Wellhead Protection Program and/or awarded a Source Water Protection grant.
"This grant is a great relief to our local water watchdogs," Conklin said. "The Source Water/ Wellhead Protection Programs help ensure we have clean healthy drinking water now and for future generations."
