Taylor to join Rendell for major funding announcement Friday
HORSHAM, Aug. 21 – On Friday, Gov. Ed Rendell will announce a major funding award to help remediate and reclaim a brownfield site in Ambler borough, and state Rep. Rick Taylor will be on hand.
The announcement will be made at noon Friday, Aug. 22 in front of the existing Boiler House structure at 201 S. Maple St., Ambler.
Taylor said the funding from the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program will be used for an environmental cleanup and to launch the development of a sustainable, mixed-use project by Westrum Development Co., Strategic Realty Investments and Summit Realty Advisors.
Joining the governor and Taylor, D-Montgomery, will be Ambler Mayor Bud Wahl; Sen. Stewart Greenleaf, R-Bucks/Montgomery; John Westrum, CEO of Westrum Development Co.; Montgomery County Redevelopment Authority Chairman Paul Bartle; and other elected officials.
