Levdansky asks all World War II veterans to register for Oct. 3 ceremony

 

ELIZABETH, Aug. 29 – State Rep. David Levdansky, D-Allegheny/Washington, is asking all World War II veterans in the 39th Legislative District to call his constituent service offices to register for his October ceremony honoring their service. 

 

Veterans who attend the ceremony will receive a Pennsylvania Medal of Honor and a special citation from the House of Representatives.

 

Any World War II veteran interested in being honored at this ceremony is asked to RSVP by contacting Levdansky's constituent service offices in Elizabeth, 412-384-2258, or in Finleyville, 724-348-2030.

 

When calling, veterans are asked to have the following information: name, rank, branch of service and dates of service.

 

The ceremony will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3 at the Broughton Volunteer Fire Department, 1030 Cochran Mill Road in Pittsburgh.

 

Families and the general public are also invited to attend.
