Caltagirone's office can assist Latino community with state services

READING, Sept. 8 – State Rep. Thomas Caltagirone, D-Berks, is reminding Latino residents of the 127th Legislative District that his constituent service office regularly processes state government-related requests on behalf of residents.

The lawmaker announced earlier in the year that he has hired Fleetwood native Elena Lopez to coordinate Latino outreach services. Among the free services provided are: car registrations, special tags, titles and license applications; information on financial assistance for higher education; unemployment compensation problems; birth certificate applications; Pennsylvania income tax problems; and much more.

"I want area residents who do not speak fluent English to know they have a friend in me and my staff," Caltagirone said." We are ready, willing and able to assist people with any state service need they may have. We will not turn anyone away and strive to find a resolution to questions and concerns."

Residents can obtain more information from Caltagirone's constituent service office in Reading, which is located on the second floor of 645 Penn St. The phone number is 610-376-1529. Caltagirone's Web site address is www.pahouse.com/caltagirone.
