Democratic Policy Committee to hold public hearing
on Marcellus Shale issues Thursday in York
HARRISBURG, April 26 – House Democratic Policy Committee Chairman Mike Sturla, D-Lancaster, announced today that the committee will hold a public hearing on issues related to Marcellus Shale drilling from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 28 at HACC's York Campus, Cvtech Building, Glatfelter Community Room, 2010 Pennsylvania Ave., York.
State Rep. Eugene DePasquale, D-York, who requested the hearing, will serve as its co-chairman. The current hearing agenda is:
Ø John Quigley, former secretary, Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources
Ø Elam Herr, assistant executive director, Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors
Ø Sharon Ward, director, Pennsylvania Budget and Policy Center
