Dentsply CEO recognized by state House

HARRISBURG, Nov. 19 – State Rep. Eugene DePasquale, D-York, today recognized Bret Wise, CEO of York-based Dentsply, on the floor of the state House of Representatives.

DePasquale said Wise was recognized during House floor proceedings and was given a copy of House Resolution 846, which commends "the philanthropic and civic initiative of the York-based Dentsply International in assisting the Donated Dental Services program."

"I'm honored to recognize Mr. Wise for the good work he has done to help others through Dentsply," said DePasquale.

DePasqulate said the Donated Dental Services program, designed to aid qualified Pennsylvanians in severe need of dental health care, has served approximately 80,000 people nationwide. Through the program, at least 25,000 people have received dentures, which were made available via denture teeth supplied by Dentsply to volunteer laboratories for use to fabricate dentures for these patients. The value of donated dental care by Dentsply is more than $130 million.

The resolution passed unanimously on Oct. 8, 2008.
