Majority Policy Committee to examine alternative education at informational briefing in Harrisburg
HARRISBURG, March 11 – Chairman Mike Sturla, D-Lancaster, announced today that the House Majority Policy Committee is holding an informational briefing on Step By Step Learning, a research-based literacy program, at the Capitol at 11 a.m. Monday, March 15 in Room 140 Main Capitol Building, Harrisburg.
State Rep. Jennifer Mann, D-Lehigh, requested the briefing.
The current agenda for the briefing is:
- 11 a.m. - Welcome and opening remarks
- 11 a.m. - Panel:
- Mary Doe Donecker, vice president, Step By Step Learning;
- Carole Geary, assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction, Pleasant Valley School District;
- Alisa Willey, director of federal programs and director of curriculum, Union City School District
- Noon - Closing remarks
