Democratic Policy Committee to hold public hearing on the
privatization of the state liquor stores on Wednesday in Scranton
HARRISBURG, March 28 – House Democratic Policy Committee Chairman Mike Sturla, D-Lancaster, announced today that the committee will hold a public hearing regarding the privatization of Pennsylvania's liquor stores from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday at the University of Scranton in Redington Hall's Collegiate Hall, 900 Mulberry St., Scranton.
State Rep. Kevin Murphy, D-Lackawanna, who serves on the House Liquor Control Committee and requested the hearing, will serve as its co-chairman. Democratic chairman of the House Liquor Control Committee, Rep. Dante Santoni, D-Berks, will also be in attendance.
