PHILADELPHIA, April 19 – The House Democratic Policy Committee held a public hearing at Temple University today to examine the impact of Gov. Tom Corbett's proposed cuts to higher education funding, said committee Chairman Mike Sturla, D-Lancaster.

Not to mention that Pennsylvania’s universities generate billions of dollars in local and state economic impact annually.”
Those testifying at the hearing included Anthony Wagner, executive president, CFO and treasurer, Temple University; Dr. Steve Hicks, president, Association of PA State College and University Faculties; and Dr. Stephen Curtis, president, Community College of Philadelphia.
