Democratic Policy Committee to hold public hearing
on Marcellus Shale issues Thursday in Bethlehem
HARRISBURG, May 11 – House Democratic Policy Committee Chairman Mike Sturla, D-Lancaster, today announced that the committee will hold a public hearing on issues related to Marcellus Shale from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Bethlehem City Hall's Town Hall, 10 E. Church St., Bethlehem.
State Reps. Bob Freeman, D-Northampton; Steve Samuelson, D-Lehigh/Northampton; and Joe Brennan, D-Lehigh/Northampton requested the hearing. The hearing agenda is:
Ø Tom Aristide, attorney at law
Ø Matt MacConnell, vice chairman, Lehigh Valley Sierra Club
Ø Cathy Frakenberg, program organizer, Clean Water Action
Ø Erika Staaf, clean water advocate, PennEnvironment
