Majority Policy Committee to hold public hearing at Capitol Tuesday on state transportation issues
HARRISBURG, May 20 – House Majority Policy Committee Chairman Mike Sturla, D-Lancaster, announced today that the committee will hold a public hearing on state transportation issues from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 26 in the House Majority Caucus Room, 140 Main Capitol Building, Harrisburg.
The hearing will be co-chaired by state Rep. Joe Markosek, D-Allegheny/Westmoreland, who serves as the chairman of the House Transportation Committee.
The current hearing agenda is:
· 1 p.m. – Welcome and opening remarks by Sturla and Markosek
· 1:10 p.m. – Allen Biehler, secretary, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation
· 1:50 p.m. – Panel from the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission: Joseph Brimmeier, chief executive officer; and Timothy Carson, vice chairman
· 2:30 p.m. – Closing remarks
The hearing is open to the public and media coverage is invited.
