HDPC to hold hearing on Marcellus Shale issues Thursday in Phila.
DEP Secretary Michael Krancer to testify
PHILADELPHIA, June 6 – House Democratic Policy Committee Chairman Mike Sturla, D-Lancaster, today announced that the committee will hold a public hearing on issues related to Pennsylvania's Marcellus Shale industry from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday in the National Constitution Center's F.M. Kirby Auditorium, 525 Arch St., Philadelphia.
State Rep. Ron Waters, D-Phila./Delaware, requested the hearing and will serve as co-chairman. The current agenda is:
· 1:50 p.m. – Karl Kyriss, president, Aqua Pennsylvania
· 2:30 p.m. – Jan Jarrett, president, PennFuture; Brady Russell, eastern PA director, Clean Water Action
· 3:50 p.m. -- Closing remarks
The hearing is open to the public and media coverage is invited.
