Democratic Policy Committee to hold hearing on Growing Greener Friday in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, June 7 – House Democratic Policy Committee Chairman Mike Sturla, D-Lancaster, today announced that the Committee will hold a public hearing to explore renewing the state’s Growing Greener program from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 10 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Room 109AB, 1101 Arch St. Philadelphia.

State Rep. Mike O'Brien, D-Phila, will serve as co-chairman. The current agenda is:

• 9 a.m. – Welcome and opening remarks
• 9:10 a.m. – Patricia Elkis, associate director, Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission

· 9:40 a.m. – Andrew Heath, executive director, Renew Growing Greener Coalition

· 10:10 a.m. – Growing Greener grant recipient

· 10:30 a.m. – Closing remarks

The hearing is open to the public and media coverage is invited.
