Democratic Policy Committee to hold public hearing on
state budget cuts Thursday in Philadelphia
HARRISBURG, July 26 House Democratic Policy Committee Chairman Mike Sturla, D-Lancaster, announced today that the committee will hold a public hearing on state budget cuts from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, July 28 at St. Joseph's University, Mandeville Hall's Teletorium, at the corner of 54th St. and City Ave., Philadelphia.
State Rep. Pam DeLissio, D-Montgomery/Phila., requested the hearing and will serve as co-chair. This hearing will consider the impact budget cuts are having on communities in southeastern Pennsylvania as the Policy Committee evaluates what needs will be required for next years state budget.
