Democratic Policy Committee to hold public hearing on
Marcellus Shale Tuesday in Waynesburg
HARRISBURG, July 29 – House Democratic Policy Committee Chairman Mike Sturla, D-Lancaster, announced today that the committee will hold a public hearing on Marcellus shale from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2 at the Waynesburg Central High School auditorium, 30 Zimmerman Drive, Waynesburg.
State Rep. Bill DeWeese, D-Greene/Fayette/Washington, requested the hearing and will co-chair it.
The current hearing agenda is:
Ø Richard Weber, former chief operating officer and president, Atlas Energy
Ø Barb Sexton, director of government affairs, Chesapeake Energy
Ø Gary Slagel, director of government affairs, Consol Energy
Ø Pamela Snyder, chairwoman, Greene County Commissioners
Ø Dr. Jerome Bartley, superintendent, Central Greene School District
Ø Shirl Barnhart, supervisor, Morgan Township
Ø Ken Dufalla, president, Greene County Chapter of the Isaac Walton League
Ø Martin Niverth, former manager, Greene County Conservation District
Ø Pamela Judy, Carmichaels resident and property owner
