Majority Policy Committee, Hornaman to examine
clean water issues Thursday in Erie
HARRISBURG, Aug. 4 – Chairman Mike Sturla, D-Lancaster, announced today that the House Majority Policy Committee will hold a public hearing on clean water issues in Pennsylvania from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Aug. 5 at the Raymond Blasco Memorial Library at 160 E. Front St., Erie.
State Rep. John Hornaman, D-Erie, requested the hearing and will serve as co-chairman. The current agenda is:
· 10 a.m. – Welcome and opening remarks
· 10:10 a.m. – G. Elliott Cook, PharmD BCPS., assistant professor in Department of Pharmacy Practice, Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine
- 10:25 a.m. – Marti Martz, coastal outreach specialist, Pennsylvania Sea Grant
- 10:40 a.m. – Thomas Fuhrman, executive director, Lake Erie Region Conservancy
- 10:55 a.m. – Sonia Rosales, staff member, Earth Action
- 11:10 a.m. – Douglas Range, director of environmental services, Erie County Health Department
- 11:25 a.m. – Edward Kissell, spokesman, Sons of Lake Erie
- 11:40 a.m. – Paul Vojtek, chief executive officer, Erie Water Authority
- 11:55 a.m. – Cathy Pedler, spokesperson, Lake Erie Group of the Sierra Club
- 12:10 p.m. – Closing remarks
