Democratic Policy Committee to hold public hearing on
Marcellus Shale Wednesday in Harrisburg
HARRISBURG, Aug. 15 – House Democratic Policy Committee Chairman Mike Sturla, D-Lancaster, announced today that the committee will hold a public hearing on Marcellus Shale issues and the Governor’s Marcellus Shale Advisory Commission report from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Aug. 17 in Room 418 of the Main Capitol Building in Harrisburg.
The current hearing agenda is:
- 10 a.m. – Welcome and opening remarks
- 10:10 a.m. – Dr. Timothy Kelsey, state program leader, Economic and Community Development and professor of Agricultural Economics, Penn State University
- 10:40 a.m. – Jan Jarrett, president, PennFuture
- 11:10 a.m. – Jack Machek, president & CEO, 10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania
- 11:40 a.m. – Closing Remarks
The hearing is open to the public and media coverage is invited.
