Belfanti opens new Mt. Carmel office
HARRISBURG, May 30 – State Rep. Robert E. Belfanti has opened a new constituent service office in Mt. Carmel.
The new office is located at 18 E. Fifth St. in Mt. Carmel. The phone number is the same as his previous office: 570-339-5252. The office is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
Belfanti said the new office location is nearly 100 percent operational.
Belfanti's former Mt. Carmel office at 15 West Ave. was heavily damaged by an arson fire that was set in March. Despite the fire, Belfanti said his staff was able to save nearly all of the constituent files held in the previous location because they were backed up to a computer system in Harrisburg.
Belfanti, who represents all of Montour County and portions of Northumberland and Columbia counties, also maintains a full-service constituent office at 14 W. Market St., Suite 104 in Danville. The phone number there is 570-271-1460. He also provides satellite office hours at the Shamokin CareerLink building on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
All three offices can provide a number of services for local residents, including assistance with state Transportation Department paperwork, obtaining birth certificates, applications for state programs such as PACE/PACENET and the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program, and information on a variety of state-related topics.
