Mundy presents House citations to local Girl Scouts
HARRISBURG, June 24 – State Rep. Phyllis Mundy, D-Luzerne, recently presented Pennsylvania House of Representatives citations to local Girl Scouts Elise Fields of Troop 32652 in Trucksville and Nicole Wiesner of Troop 3943 in West Pittston.
The citations honor the scouts as recipients of the Girl Scouts Gold Award, the highest award a Girl Scout can earn. For their Gold Award projects, Fields conducted three blindness awareness events in the community, and Wiesner established a summer reading program at Wyoming Free Library.
"Elise and Nicole have displayed an outstanding commitment to community service, learning an invaluable lesson about the gratification of completing a personal goal," Mundy said.
Elise is the daughter of Darin and Pamela Fields of Wyoming, and Nicole is the daughter of Christopher and Jennifer Wiesner of Exeter.
