Mundy presents House citation to retiring state worker
HARRISBURG, Dec. 15 – State Rep. Phyllis Mundy, D-Luzerne, recently presented a Pennsylvania House of Representatives citation to a constituent in honor of his retirement from state service.
The citation honors George J. Missett for his 31 years of service to the state. Missett will retire on Jan. 2, 2010 from his position of Income Maintenance Manager II in the Department of Public Welfare's Luzerne County Assistance Office, Wilkes-Barre District.
"My staff and I always valued George’s infinite patience with every issue before him, no matter how complicated, as well as his ability to empathize with those sitting on the other side of his desk," Mundy said. "His presence will be greatly missed by those who worked closely with him and by those in the General Assembly."
Other members of the Northeast Delegation including state Reps. Todd A. Eachus, John T. Yudichak, Eddie Day Pashinski, Jim Wansacz, Michael B. Carroll and Karen Boback, also sponsored the citation.
