Pashinski co-hosts seminar about state program that connects small business and local governments
WILKES-BARRE, Aug. 17 – State Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski today joined the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce to host a seminar about COSTARS, a state program that creates new sales opportunities for small businesses and helps many local governments and nonprofits reduce contract costs.
“Thousands of local governments and nonprofits are already using this innovative program to purchase goods and services at lower costs and saving tax dollars,” Pashinski said. “This seminar also informed small businesses about the Pennsylvania’s Cooperative Purchasing Program and the $400 million in economic activity it generates every year.”
In addition to leveraging the state’s purchasing power, Pashinski said that local governments and nonprofits can reduce the costs of advertising bids.
The seminar was held at the Genetti Hotel and Conference Center in Wilkes-Barre.
