Pashinski comments on new legislative district boundaries
HARRISBURG, Dec. 12 – State Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski commented on the final vote today by the Legislative Reapportionment Commission on a plan that redraws the boundaries for state House and Senate districts.
“I’m disappointed with the commission’s decision to move Plains Township and Ashley Borough out of the 121st Legislative District. Over the past five years, I’ve developed a wonderful relationship with the people and local officials in those communities and I will miss them. We’ve established an excellent line of communication and my door has always been open to them.
"Now I open my door and look forward to meeting the people in Fairview Township, Wright Township, Hanover Township, Sugar Notch Borough, Warrior Run Borough and Laurel Run Borough. I will work hard to get to know them, build their trust and work conscientiously to address their concerns with the same vigor as I did with the people in Plains and Ashley.”
Under the plan approved today, Wilkes-Barre City and Wilkes-Barre Township will remain in the 121st District.
