Statement of House Speaker McCall on the passing of former Lt. Gov. Kline
HARRISBURG, May 14 – Speaker of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives Keith McCall, D-Carbon, issued the following statement concerning the passing of former Lt. Gov. Ernie Kline:
"With the passing of Ernie Kline, Pennsylvania has lost a great public servant who always put the needs of the people first and foremost in whatever he did. From his first forays into public service in the steel towns of Beaver County to his terms in the Pennsylvania Senate to his distinguished terms as lieutenant governor, Ernie Kline never lost sight of his roots or lost touch with the people. The Commonwealth has lost a true friend today.
"I offer the deepest condolences, both personally and on behalf of members of the House of Representatives, to the Kline family and all those who were proud to call him a friend."
