Caltagirone: Hydrojet, Inc. to receive $1.6 million to expand
READING, Feb. 11 – State Rep. Tom Caltagirone, D-Berks, announced today that Hydrojet Services Inc. has been approved for a $1.6 million loan to help spur economic growth and create jobs in Berks County.
The company will use the funding to build and move into a new, 34,000-square-foot facility in Reading. The project will create 25 jobs at the company. The Greater Berks Development Fund is the project sponsor.
“Berks County stands to benefit greatly when loan and grant initiatives are made available to companies such as Hydrojet Services," Caltagirone said. "Jobs are created in the region and businesses are given the opportunity to grow, which will attract more commerce."
The loan funding comes from the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority. Loans through PIDA provide capital for infrastructure acquisition, creation and renovation projects primarily for manufacturers, industrial developers, research and development firms, agricultural processors and employers looking to establish national or regional headquarters in Pennsylvania.
