Gerber presents Conshohocken Fire Company #2 with $8,000 grant
CONSHOHOCKEN, April 25 – State Rep. Mike Gerber, D-Montgomery, last Saturday presented members of Conshohocken Fire Company #2 with a ceremonial check for an $8,000 state grant.
The fire company will use the state grant to buy protective clothing for the effective and safe protection of its firefighters.
"It is tough for volunteer fire companies to raise money," Gerber said. "I’m pleased to help secure this grant because our firefighters’ safety is paramount and the services they provide to Conshohocken are priceless."
Conshohocken Fire Company # 2 also used the occasion to present Gerber with an award to thank him for his continued support. This is the second grant Gerber has secured for the fire company.
