Gerber presents Narberth Fire Department with $10,000
NARBERTH, May 2 – State Rep. Mike Gerber, D-Montgomery, last Friday delivered $10,000 to the Narberth Fire Department to equip its emergency response vehicle with a high-tech thermal imaging camera.
Gerber secured the state grant so Narberth's firefighters can purchase the camera, which identifies heat sources inside a house or building -- a great advantage when searching for and rescuing victims trapped by a fire.
With Gerber's support, the new life-saving tool will help the community's first responders protect Narberth's 5,100 residents.
