Leach to receive chamber’s Excellence in Public Service Award
HARRISBURG, April 8 – The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce will present state Rep. Daylin Leach, D-Montgomery, with the chamber’s 2008 Excellence in Public Service Award on Thursday, April 10 at Presidential Caterers in Norristown.
The chamber’s board of governors will honor him at the annual Celebration of Excellence banquet in recognition of his dedication, initiative and service to the community.
"I am very honored to receive this prestigious award from the chamber of commerce," Leach said. "The fact that its members recognize the importance of public service indicates they appreciate the hard work public servants across the political spectrum do. The chamber is a long-time leader of the community and I will always cherish this recognition."
Since 1912, the chamber has been working in Montgomery County to strengthen communities through business development. It has more than 1,700 members from Fort Washington, Valley Forge, Conshohocken and Collegeville.
