Briggs to host Tele-Town Hall
KING OF PRUSSIA, April 16 - State Rep. Tim Briggs, D-Montgomery, will host a Tele-Town Hall Meeting at 7 p.m. April 26.
“Instead of asking my constituents to come out to a town hall, I’m bringing the meeting to them.” Briggs said. “Residents will be able to ask questions and listen to discussion on important state issues without having to leave their house.”
On the evening of the town hall, Briggs’ constituents will receive a phone call which will provide instructions on how they can participate. The program will consist of a legislative update touching on major issues in the Capitol as well as a question-and-answer session.
Briggs previously hosted a cyber-town hall meeting and hosts a variety of outreach events throughout the 149th Legislative District each year. He also provides updates on legislative and community issues through email and social media.
“I’m always looking for new ways to communicate with my constituents,” Briggs said. “This tele-town hall is a new, innovative way of remaining open and accessible to all of the residents of the 149th District.”
