Drucker to kick off appointment program at Valley Forge
WAYNE, Feb. 3 – State Rep. Paul Drucker, D-Chester/Montgomery, will host a news conference at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 19 in Eisenhower Hall at Valley Forge Military College, 1001 Eagle Road in Wayne.
Drucker will be joined by state Reps. Brian Lentz, D-Delaware, and William Adolph, R-Delaware, and Valley Forge administrators to kick off the Valley Forge Military College Legislative Appointment Initiative, which was created by a resolution (H.R. 565) Drucker authored.
The VFMC Legislative Appointment Initiative program will allow each Pennsylvania state representative to appoint one student each year to the college's freshmen class. The appointment would include a $8,500 scholarship for each student for each of their two years at the college. Scholarships will be funded by VFMC without the use of state dollars.
Media coverage is invited to this event. Photo opportunities of the state legislators and Valley Forge administration will be available afterward on the first floor of Eisenhower Hall.
