Environmental legislation being introduced in state House and Senate
HARRISBURG, Jan. 23 – State Rep. Greg Vitali, D-Delaware, will join other lawmakers and environmentalists at a news conference at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28 in the Capitol Rotunda to announce legislation being introduced in the House and Senate that addresses carbon sequestration and improvements to the alternative energy portfolio standard.
Those expected to participate in the news conference include state Sen. Ted Erickson, R-Delaware, sponsor of the Senate legislation; acting Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection John Hanger; state Reps. Chris Ross, R-Chester, and Eugene DePasquale, D-York, co-sponsors of Vitali's legislation being introduced in the House.
