Vitali appointed to Darby Creek Valley Emeritus Board of Directors
HARRISBURG, Feb. 3 – State Rep. Greg Vitali, D-Delaware, was appointed to the Darby Creek Valley Association's newly formed Emeritus Board of Directors during the group's annual meeting Sunday.
"It's an honor to be part of a hard-working, volunteer organization that does so much to help the environment in Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties," Vitali said. "The Darby Creek Valley Association has more than 100 members and does important work, such as organizing educational programs and putting together an annual cleanup of Darby Creek."
The emeritus board serves as a group of advisors to the association.
Darby Creek Valley Association is dedicated to the protection of Darby Creek watershed's resources, including water, wildlife, historical sites and the floodplain. The watershed encompasses Montgomery, Delaware and Philadelphia counties. The creek flows into the Delaware River at Tinicum.
Vitali said the group's annual Darby Creek Cleanup is scheduled for April 24.
